Everyone is out of school but me. Trabuco, we're not friends anymore. Capo, can I transfer?
(Next year Trabuco starts on September 10th, but gets out on June 25th!!! If I get into Provo for Summer I'm not finishing high school traditionally!!)
I promise that summer at BYU is worth missing that last bit of high school, even though it might not feel like it. I literally hopped in my dad's car in my cap and gown and drove straight to BYU, starting school that following Monday, missing out on grad night and my friends' trip to Hawaii. I remember friends who had to skip out on their graduations altogether. It's a bummer to have to choose, but the summer experience - especially that first summer when everyone is FRESH out of high school - is sooooo precious!!! It's still a highlight, and some of those friends are still my closest to date, 13 years later.
